Message from the Superintendent
The school play, “Murder for Dummies”, will be March 28th and 29th in the high school multipurpose room. The students and Miss Henneman have been working hard on their performance so please come and support them. It looks to be an entertaining set of performances.
Spring sports have started and the high school students are enjoying track, golf, and girl’s tennis. There are 8 track participants, 7 golf participants, and 4 girls out for tennis. The students are working hard and looking forward to some nicer weather.
We had 39 students from grades 7 through 12 attend the regional Math Meet in Havre March 3rd. We are waiting on the official results for our performance, but it sounds like the students did an exceptional job. We have been told that Kassady Sheble was the top female senior and will be receiving a $200 college scholarship.
Congratulations to the senior class who will be graduating on May 24th. This year’s valedictorian will be Brittney Steele and the salutatorian will be Kassady Sheble. We would like to thank the seniors for the hard work and dedication that they have put into Valier Schools.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre will be working with our elementary students again this year. Thank you to the community for their support which allows us to bring this opportunity to our students. Play practice will begin on March 31st, and the play “Secret Garden” will be performed on Friday, April 4th in the High School Multi-Purpose Room.
Valier students Colton Wheeler, Mariah Stoltz, Sean Brownell, Kassady Sheble, and Keegan Widhalm recently competed in the Principal Cup at Centerville High School. This is an academic competition where students first take an online test several weeks before the competition and then participate in an academic bowl against other schools from around the area. Valier’s team did very well competing against schools as large as Great Falls High and won several rounds of competition.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable spring and is able to get out and enjoy the warmer weather.
